This is beautiful. I really must do the Halong bay trip.

While the cold months are really chilly, you get more space without the boatloads of people. Though the economy is doing that too...

thanks. yea the winter months were freezing for me! tho it's still better than being all hot and sweaty. i prefer the cold! even the low season is quite crowded w tourists i think, can't imagine how packed the peak seasons can be at halong. i liked how peaceful it was tho. nice fm the hustle of hanoi itself. just find yrself a good tour operator so u wont get fleeced.
